Associate Nurse Unit Manager
Ongoing Part Time (32 hours per week)

An opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified nurse with a passion for Aged Care to join our innovative and committed team.  The team works together in a friendly work environment that is resident focused and community minded.  We offer a “Smart Lift” program, in house salary packaging, free car parking and a supportive learning environment.

This position requires the registered Nurse to manage the facility when the Manager is not on duty – evenings, night duty, weekends and public holidays, salary during this time is paid at Grade 5 rate. A comprehensive “Pathway” (orientation) program will be provided for the successful applicant.

The ideal applicant will be a person who:

  • Has a genuine empathy and respect for older people
  • Has a sound knowledge and understanding of aged and dementia care
  • Has an ability to work alongside all levels of staff
  • Has at least three years post graduate experience
  • Can demonstrate effective leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Essential Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Ability to work all shifts
  • Demonstrated Clinical assessment skills
  • Commitment to provide best practice in a residential Aged Care Setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
  • Evidence of interest in continuous professional growth
  • Sound computer skills and data entry experience
  • Willingness to undertake any training required for the position
