Operations Manager, Aged Care

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the West Gippsland Healthcare Group in the role of the Operations Manager Aged Care. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Operations, you will work within a motivated and dedicated team that provides the support to the organisation over a wide range of services, including :
- Provide strategic and operational leadership, management support to Residential Aged Care Services (RACS).
- Provide high standard integrated healthcare services which are delivered to an agreed budget in accordance with the organisation’s strategic plan across both facilities.
- Provide develop and implement projects pertaining to the delivery of services in Aged Care.
- Provide advice to the Executive, Department Managers and other key stakeholders.
- Provide accurate and timely information to the Director Clinical Operations (DCO) and Executive regarding the relevant performance indicators.
- To contribute to the quality, safety and risk management and frameworks at West Gippsland Healthcare Group
- To lead the delivery of safe, high quality person-centered care within the West Gippsland Healthcare Group Aged Care facilities.
Our preferred candidate will have
Desirable:
Post graduate gerontology or management qualifications. Management experience in a Public Health Acute Service. General knowledge and familiarity of relevant political contexts at local, state and federal levels
The following experience/qualifications is Mandatory
Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA. Professional experience and expertise in a Senior Management role within Aged Care.
About our organisation
The West Gippsland Healthcare Group (WGHG) is a sub-regional provider of health services located in the Shire of Baw Baw, located approximately 100km east of Melbourne. Services include the Community Services Centres in Warragul and Trafalgar, the Rawson Community Health Centre, Cooinda Lodge Aged Care Residence (60 beds co-located with the hospital), Andrews House Aged Care Residence (51 beds in Trafalgar), Warragul Linen Service and the West Gippsland Hospital. The Hospital has 96 beds and provides a broad range of services including acute medical and surgical, paediatric, obstetrics & gynaecology, emergency, aged care and community services. The primary catchment area is the Shire of Baw Baw, although patients also present from other Local Government Areas in Gippsland and outer Melbourne
