Fixed Term Part Time – 12 month program from June 2021 until June 2022
64 hours per fortnight

West Gippsland Healthcare Group are now accepting applications for our new 2021 Enrolled Nurse Graduate Program.
Our 2021 program includes positions within Aged Care, Sub Acute and Acute settings, operating across West Gippsland Hospital and Andrews House (Trafalgar) where we offer interesting, challenging and well supported opportunities throughout the Graduate Program. Areas of work may include Aged Care, Sub Acute, Medical Unit, Surgical Unit and the Emergency Department/Short Stay Unit.
Eligibility
You must be either:
- A Victorian trained Nursing Graduate (citizen/permanent resident)
- A current Victorian resident
- An Australian Interstate trained Nursing Graduate (citizen/permanent resident)
Our preferred candidate must also have:
- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Qualification in Diploma of Nursing (HLT54115)
- Completion of HLT54115 studies during 2020 – 2021 academic year (to meet eligibility for the EN Graduate Nurse Program)
- Not previously participated in a Graduate Nurse Program

The West Gippsland Healthcare Group is a customer focused health organisation providing acute medical and surgical, obstetric, emergency, residential care and community health services to 45,000 people in the rural, urban residential, agricultural and industrial areas located within the Baw Baw Shire and beyond. The administrative headquarters are located at West Gippsland Hospital in Warragul, approximately 100kms east of Melbourne.

All appointments with the West Gippsland Healthcare Group are subject to the satisfactory return of professional reference checks, a National Police Record Clearance and a current Employee Working with Children Check. All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.

The following items are mandatory for all applications:
- Letter of application (cover letter) addressed to Kerry Ginters
- Cover letter must include any preferences for areas of work (ie. Aged Care, Sub Acute or both)
- Resume inclusive of a passport sized photo and two professional clinical nursing referees one of whom must be from an adult acute placement of two weeks or longer
- Response to Key Selection Criteria
- Two clinical appraisals (preferably most recent)
- Up to date certified Academic Transcript with legend (Education Certificate)
