Speech Pathologists

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Speech Pathologists to join our supportive and committed Speech Pathology team at West Gippsland Healthcare Group, on a casual basis. The role primarily involves the provision of Speech Pathology services to acute (inpatient) and sub-acute (outpatient) clients as well as Paediatric Outpatients.  It also may include ad-hoc provision of Speech Pathology services to West Gippsland Aged Care facilities, Rural Allied Health Service, Restorative Care Programme and Transitional Care Programme.

 

The West Gippsland Healthcare Group’s main campus is situated at Warragul, which is approximately 100 kilometres east of Melbourne.  The Group provides acute care, community health and aged care services to the Shire of Baw Baw and surrounds.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree/Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent.
  • Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Understanding of and solid experience in the provision of Speech Pathology services to patients/clients with a swallowing disorder, cognitive, language and sensory difficulties.
  • Experience in the provision of assessment and therapy for Speech Pathology services to preschool children.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A current Victorian driver's license.
