Registered Nurses / Midwives (incl. IRON Graduates)
A range of permanent hours available
We currently have ongoing hours available in our organisation for suitably qualified Nurses/Midwives across various departments. We offer a friendly, team focused work environment, comprehensive orientation to the department and organisation, in house salary packaging and free car parking. We have a learning culture that encourages ongoing education and offer generous study leave, support and assistance from our Ward based Educators.
Overseas trained nurses/midwives who have successfully completed the IRON course are encouraged to apply. WGHG is also supportive of return to practice in partnership with APHRA.
REQUIREMENTS
- Recent experience clinical experience in an acute unit.
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation and problem solving skills.
- Commitment to oversee the processes required for a quality service with a patient centred focus.
- Flexibility and the ability to work all shifts
- A commitment to a team approach to care delivery.
- Police Check and current Working with Children Check (can be organised through WGHG)
Candidates with the following would be highly regarded:
- Recent critical care experience (HDU, CCU, ICU or ED)
- Recent midwifery / neonatal experience
