Medical Registrar Unaccredited position
Fixed term full time until 03/02/19
We have a vacancy within our General Medicine team for a Medical Registrar. This exciting opportunity will allow you to fully exercise and strengthen your hard-earned skills – as a smaller hospital, you will see a wide range of cases and have the chance to work closely with our Consultant Physicians, Surgical and Emergency teams. This unaccredited role may suit either a Basic Physician Trainee or a GP Registrar looking for General Medicine experience. Please note that in order to be considered, Candidates MUST have general registration with AHPRA and experience in the Australian public health system.
Our Medical Ward is staffed by six general physicians. Under their direction, you will work with four other Medical Registrars and four Medical Interns. Our roster is set up for 24/7 Medical Registrar coverage, so shifts rotate through a mix of days, afternoon and nights with no on-call requirements.
Comprising of 26 medical and 4 high dependency beds, the Medical Ward is run by a dedicated, proactive Nursing team and is well supported by an expert team of Allied Health professionals. Our hospital site is located approximately 1.5 hours east of Melbourne and is an easy drive down the Monash Freeway.
