Food Services Assistant
Permanent Part Time – 24 hours per week
Health and Allied Services Enterprise Agreement - Food and Domestic Assistant (HA1/HA18)
$23.70-$24.48 per hour
An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our busy Food Services team as a Food Services Assistant.
Reporting to the Food Services Manager you will work within a motivated and dedicated team that provides meal services to hospital inpatients and Cooinda Lodge residents. The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking a range of tasks including meal plating, meal delivery, dish and pot washing & general cleaning.
This role is on our day shift and involves a minimum of 6 shifts per fortnight (8 hour shifts), every second weekend and to be available for additional shifts as necessary.
Mandatory skills:
- Current Safe Food Handlers Certificate – HLTFSE001
- A high standard of personal presentation
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
Desirable:
- Previous food services experience
- Previous experience working in large work group

The West Gippsland Healthcare Group is a customer focused health organisation providing acute medical and surgical, obstetric, emergency, residential care and community health services to 45,000 people in the rural, urban residential, agricultural and industrial areas located within the Baw Baw Shire and beyond. The administrative headquarters are located at West Gippsland Hospital in Warragul, approximately 100kms east of Melbourne.
