Health Information Manager Grade 4 – exact salary will depend upon experience (circa 113k p/a base salary)

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated Health Information Manager to join our Health Information Services team by providing leadership and support to the WGHG in relation to health information management. The successful incumbent will be methodical, highly organised and have logical, problem solving abilities and a positive manner. This role manages the Health Information Services team which includes HIM clerical staff, and also has responsibility for the hospital Reception team.
Required skills and experience include:
Mandatory:
· Health Information Management degree or equivalent.
· Eligible for membership of the Health Information Management Association of Australia.
· Effective communication and management skills.
· Advanced computer skills.
· Knowledge of FOI legislation and document control.
· Strong staff and change management experience.
· Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support.
Desirable:
· Statutory reporting.
· Experience in Reception operations.
· Experience handling medicolegal and Freedom of Information requests.
· Demonstrated ability to achieve targets and deadlines.
