Graduate Nurse and Midwifery Program - *Sub Acute Discipline*
Registered Nurse Grade 2 – 32 hours per week 12 months Fixed Term commencing February 2021
West Gippsland Healthcare Group are now accepting applications for our 2021 Graduate Nurse and Midwifery Program. Our program operates across the West Gippsland Hospital (Warragul), Cooinda Lodge (Warragul) and Andrews House (Trafalgar) where we offer interesting, challenging and well supported Graduate Programs in an attractive rural environment.
We are offering positions in the following disciplines. Each discipline consists of a number of differing streams:
- Acute
- Surgical / Theatre
- Medical / Emergency
- Community
- Sub-Acute
- GEM
- Aged Care
- Midwifery
- Combined Midwifery/Nursing (Double Degree)
This advert is for Graduates wanting to apply under the 'Sub Acute' discipline.
Rotations within this stream may include Aged Care, District Nursing, Hospital in the Home, GEM and Medical.
Applicants are invited to apply for one or more streams of interest. Please indicate your preferred stream/s within your cover letter.
Eligibility As per PMCV Computer Match guidelines, you must be either:
- A Victorian trained Nursing/Midwifery Graduate (citizen/permanent resident)
- A current Victorian resident – Distance Education Nursing/Midwifery Graduate
- An Australian Interstate trained Nursing/Midwifery Graduate (citizen/permanent resident)
- A New Zealand trained Nursing/Midwifery Graduate (citizen/permanent resident)
You must also:
Be eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia Have not previously participated in a Graduate Nurse or Graduate Midwifery Program Have completed your Nursing and/or Midwifery degree in January-December 2020 academic year

Application Process
In order to be considered, you must lodge your application via the below link AND register with the PMCV Computer Matching Program.
The following items are mandatory for all applications:
- Letter of application (cover letter) addressed to Wendy Ruddell
- Resume inclusive of a passport sized photo and 2 professional clinical nursing referees (preferably from mid second year and third year)
- Response to Key Selection Criteria
- 3 clinical appraisals (preferably most recent and including either a medical or surgical appraisal)
- Up to date certified Academic Transcript (Education Certificate)

Outcomes
All candidates will be notified of the match outcome via the PMCV Computer Matching website on 19th October 2020.
