We are seeking an experienced registered midwife to join our leadership team as Associate Nurse/midwife manager.

We are seeking expressions of interest for experienced Registered Midwives to work as an Associate Maternity Unit Managers (AMUM) within our Maternity & Gynaecology unit in Warragul. Our preferred candidate will be a sound clinician who is able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational attributes. They will have a willingness to learn new skills with a management focus. As a leader of the nursing and midwifery profession, the AMUMs assist in setting expectations, developing, planning and managing processes to assess, improve and maintain the professions management, clinical educational and support activities.
Our preferred candidate will have:
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Current Registration as a Registered Midwife
- Substantial Post Basic experience in Midwifery and Gynaecology nursing, demonstrating clinical expertise with 3-5 years minimum experience.
- Demonstrated role modelling, leadership and management of workflows.
- Aware of ACHS national standards
- Commitment to oversee the processes required for a quality service with a patient centred focus.

The Warragul Linen Service (WLS) is a business unit of the West Gippsland Healthcare Group and are among the leading linen service providers to public hospitals and aged care facilities across Melbourne metropolitan and surrounds. Our laundry plant is situated in the regional town of Warragul, behind the West Gippsland Hospital.
We are currently seeking versatile candidates to act as a Laundry Hand at our production plant. The role includes manual labour tasks such as folding, sorting, lifting and packing. You will be working with industrial machinery, facilitating the washing, drying, processing and distribution of healthcare linen within a team environment.
We have part time roles on our afternoon shift which are typically 12:30-3pm starts with a 9-9:30pm finish Monday to Wednesday and 9:30-11:30am starts with a 6pm finish Thursday and Friday. Contracts of up to 36 hours per week are available. Exact hours will be negotiated with the successful applicants. Casual positions are also available and are used to backfill shifts and do not include regular hours.

- Processing linen returns.
- Sorting, both pre and post wash.
- Operating industrial batch washers and dryers.
- Loading and unloading washer extractors.
- Processing linen through industrial machinery e.g. ironers and folders.
- Quality checks and inspections.

Hours are available to a broad variety of areas including acute, subacute, community rehab, outpatients and aged care across a 7 day a week service.
The successful applicant will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a high level of organisational and decision-making skills. In addition, the preferred candidate will have:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- The ability to apply a high level of clinical knowledge and skills in physiotherapy practice.
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- The ability to provide support and supervision to junior staff, assistants and students.
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence.

Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, you will work within a motivated and dedicated team that provides support to the organisation over a wide range of education and development services, including but not limited to, in-service education, development and delivery of training programs, competency assessments, supervision of student placements and staff development education.

The Medical Student Liaison Officer is responsible for the facilitation of processes within WGHG for all Medical students at West Gippsland Healthcare Group, liaison with Clinical staff at WGHG and Universities.
Our preferred candidate will have:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- At least 5 years of Post-qualification experience.
- Experience in Education within the healthcare setting
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written, including a demonstrated customer service and problem-solving approach to dealing with colleagues and clients.
The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:
- Previous involvement with University students
- Experience in Medical Education
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or relevant tertiary qualification in education

We have opportunities for experienced Registered Nurses to join our highly regarded District Nursing team, incorporating DNS, HITH, Palliative care and the Infusion Clinic. The District Nurse is an independent practitioner who assists clients to remain in their home during periods of illness or disability, by providing skilled nursing care, education and re-ablement to them and their families to maintain their independence.
This position requires excellent assessment and problem-solving skills for the ongoing care of consumers in their home. The role requires a nurse who has the ability to prioritise patient care, escalate patient care and be flexible to meet the demands of a changing day to day business. The successful applicants will be required to have sound clinical and communication skills and have the opportunity to progress to Level 2 upon fulfillment of training and on-call requirements. District Nursing is provided to the Baw Baw Shire 7 days per week. These roles will require the right nurse to be able to work on a rotating, flexible roster, this will also include working morning and afternoon shifts.
We have permanent hours available up to 56 per fortnight. We also have a 6 month fixed term contract from late March 2024 to end of September 2024 up to 32 hours per fortnight available to cover for secondment backfill. Requirements
Mandatory
- Registered Nurse with current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency registration.
- Current Driver Licence.
- Well-developed time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to cover all shifts and work on call.
Desirable
- Minimum 3 years’ experience post registration in an acute setting.
- Recent District nursing experience.
- Post Graduate qualifications relevant to District Nursing.

We are seeking an experienced Executive Administration Assistant who will provide high level administration support to the Director and General Managers of the Corporate Services division. The Executive Administration Assistant is a key support role that provides administrative support tasks that contribute to the efficient and effective coordination and operation of the directorate.
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience providing executive level support, strong communication skills, high attention to detail and the ability to be agile and adaptive. Most importantly you will possess a warm, engaging and professional attitude and be committed to supporting the achievement of the directorate priorities.

This is a unique time to join WGHG as we enter a phase of renewal and growth, with the recent announcement of funding commitment for a new hospital to be built in the coming years.
This is a permanent part time position based at the Warragul Hospital site. Some flexibility is available in terms of how the 24 hours are worked across the week (i.e. school hours) and this will be negotiated with the successful candidate. To be considered for this role please provide a current resume and a covering letter addressing the following key selection criteria:
- Experience providing administrative support to executive level management. Previous experience in a government department setting would be desirable.
- Possess sound computer skills across the Microsoft Office suite and a current motor vehicle driver’s license.
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Previous experience producing high quality impactful presentation and report templates.
- Demonstrated experience capturing, recording and reporting accurate data.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to efficiently coordinate multiple sources of data to produce meaningful reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.

The new hospital is set to feature 233-beds and 33 emergency department treatment spaces as well as aged care and an expanded maternity facility.
