Occupational Therapist Allied & Community Health Grade 1 or Grade 2 - Casual
The West Gippsland Healthcare Group is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic Occupational Therapists to join our Occupational Therapy team on a casual basis.
Casual Occupational Therapists will be required to provide high quality OT services to the nominated clinical speciality area as required, predominantly for leave replacement. Areas may include: acute inpatient units, Community Rehabilitation Service (centre and/or home based services), Transition Care Program, GEM Program, Occupational Therapy outpatients, Aged Care and Rural Allied Health service.
Our team, comprising of a number of OT’s and Allied Health Assistants, is located in a purpose built Allied Health / Community Rehabilitation Centre. Our department encourages and supports staff attending professional development activities. Supervision and support are available to the successful applicant.
Our preferred candidates will hold:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) – Occupational Therapy Board.
- Membership of the Australian Occupational Therapy Association or equivalent.
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- A high level of theoretical and practical clinical knowledge in Occupational Therapy practice.
- Excellent communication (both verbal & written) skills.
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
