West Gippsland Healthcare Group is seeking expressions of interest from overseas Doctors who are keen to move to, work and live in Australia when future vacancies arise. As a Doctor at West Gippsland Healthcare Group, you will work within a highly enthusiastic, innovative and collaborative team that are dedicated to prioritising and escalating care of patients of all ages and cultural groups. Our Doctors require assessment and problem-solving skills to meet the demands of a changing day to day business and are available to work on a rotating, flexible roster including morning, afternoon and night shifts. We have a range of Specialists including; Physicians, Paediatricians, O&G Consultants, Surgeons and Anaesthetists.

 

Our preferred applicants will have:

  • Degree in Medicine or equivalent
  • Eligibility of membership with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Ability to work under pressure, be flexible and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Demonstrated written, verbal and computer skills at the level required to fulfil the role

 

Getting registered as a doctor in Australia

 

IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to have three doses of a COVID-19 vaccination and 2023 Influenza vaccination (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

Working with us

All appointments with West Gippsland Healthcare Group are subject to the satisfactory return of professional reference checks, a National Police Record Clearance or NDIS worker screening clearance and a current Victorian, Employee Working with Children Check. All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.
