We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Allied Health Assistants to be employed on a part time These positions will involve the provision therapy programs under the direction of the Allied Health Professionals for community rehabilitation clients and hospital patients and also involves general administration tasks including computer data entry and appointment booking cleaning / tracking of equipment and general administration tasks.
Our ideal candidates will hold a nationally recognised Allied Health Assistant Certificate (Cert III, IV or equivalent), previous experience in the provision of Allied Health Assistant services or similar, along with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team. We have a part time role of 24 hours per week available, as well as casual opportunities.
Required skills and experience include:
- Qualification – Cert III, IV Allied Health Assistant or equivalent.
- Previous experience in the provision of AHA services or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity Microsoft Office software.
IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be fully (3 doses) vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

We are well aware our hospital is aging but are excited at the news that our new state of the art hospital and public aged care facility is coming. A 23.6 hectare site at Lardners Track in Drouin East was acquired by West Gippsland Healthcare Group for a future hospital back in 2007. The new hospital is set to feature 233-beds and 33 emergency department treatment spaces as well as aged care and an expanded maternity facility.

All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.
